At home workouts definitely serve a great purpose. I’m not saying everyone should or has to do them, but they can definitely be of great benefit to many busy women in our community.
The top reason
The top reason women in OUR community SAY YES to at home workouts is because they want to be more CONSISTENT with their exercise habits. In other words, they are coming to classes (and loving that) but aren’t attending as consistently as they’d like to because of:
1. Mum life
2. Work life
3. Life life
And fair enough too. This is NOT an issue of you being ‘lazy’ or ‘making excuses’. There are legitimate challenges, obstacles and barriers busy women face and need to consider and/or overcome in order to be MORE CONSISTENT with their exercise. Fact! Anyone who spouts unhelpful phrases like “just do it”, or “discipline and dedication” or “no excuses” etc etc can take a hike.
So many ways
The good news is, theres SO many ways to workout at home. They can involve no equipment, or some equipment. They can be done at home, or at your local park. They can be follow along videos, written instructions or a basic plan mapped out in your head. They can go for 3mins, 10mins, 30mins, 60mins. They can involve cardio, strength, mobility, core, or a mix of all these things. The trick is… finding what works for you!
- What you can realistically do
- What you will actually (or most likely) enjoy
- What you are confident and capable of doing alone
- What your body would benefit from
THERE IS NO ‘ULTIMATE’ or ‘MUST DO’ AT HOME WORKOUT…. IT’S ALL ABOUT FINDING WHAT WORKS FOR YOU AND YOUR NEEDS
