“COVID TAKE 5”

  1. Wash your hands before and after workouts and avoid touching your face during workouts. Liquid soap is provided.

  2. BYO mat and towel (plus dumbbells and resistance bands as much as possible). If you don’t have a mat we can borrow you one for the workout as long as you bring a BEACH TOWEL. Otherwise, you can purchase a mat from us for $15.

  3. If you don’t have DBs (or other workout equipment), you can borrow ours for the session. Please chose from the pre-selected equipment laid out on the bench/table. All used equipment is to be placed on the kitchen sink after the workout thanks legends.

  4. We love working out together but have to stay 2m away from each other. We will have markers out to show you where to set up your workout station.

  5. We love you and want to see you often but please stay home if you are unwell. We do NOT charge you for cancelling sessions but we do ask you let us know as soon as possible if you can’t make it so those on the wait list can attend!

COVID UPDATE April 29th

BABYSITTING SERVICE ON HOLD FOR NOW

We have made the extremely difficult decision to place a hold on our BABYSITTING SERVICE for at least the entirety of WINTER. This also includes putting a hold on Mums BRINGING babes to classes
.
The reasons for this decision are as follows:

  • Cold and flu incidents are likely to increase over the coming months and we know this will create unwanted disruptions to your face-to-face exercise habits.
  • We want to remove that stressful decision of “should I attend a face-to-face class with a mildly sick child”. We’ve all reached decision-fatigue as it is, theres no need to add more unnecessary stress into our lives.
  • From a risk management perspective, we all know little people tend to play and run around by their own rules… ‘enforcing’ the social distancing requirements on them would be near impossible.
  • After the winter season, if the restrictions are lifted further, it is in my plan to reintroduce some Mum+Babe classes to the timetable!

DO YOU RELY ON OUR BABYSITTING SERVICE, or BRINGING YOU BABE to classes.  We’d love to help brainstorm potential solutions – get in touch to discuss this further!!

COVID UPDATE April 29th

OUTDOOR CLASSES REOPENING

Given these unprecedented times we are creating a HYBRID health and fitness service…. so a mix of OUTDOOR group fitness and ONLINE training options, plus a bucket load of SUPPORT and (socially distanced) CONNECTION!

OUTDOOR classes are set to START next week.
Class TIMETABLE will be released this Friday.
Class DESCRIPTORS & PRICES now on the website.

BIG CHANGES TO NOTE:

  • Class numbers will be restricted
  • No sharing equipment means we require ladies to BYO mat, and we’d prefer if you could also BYO DBs. We have set up a loan system to assist with this!
  • All classes are 30mins in duration to allow extra time for cleaning.

COVID UPDATE April 27th

SAY YES 2.0 HAPPY DANCE

So you may have heard the latest news from Government regarding lifting some restrictions… but what does that even mean?? Well here’s our interpretation of it all…

  • We are so HAPPY to see family and friends again without a window, wall or door between us… happy dance to that!
  • We are NOT taking this news lightly. This situation demands and deserves respect and attention to detail. We are taking time to process, plan and prepare.
  • Things will be DIFFERENT when we do reopen. Adhering to the new restrictions (and looking after everyones health and safety) means things NEED to change…. Class sizes, structure, equipment usage, timetable – its will all be different.

This past month we’ve been busy building an ONLINE COMMUNITY…. and now we are looking to build a HYBRID community – one that mixes ONLINE and OFFLINE.

We’re happy dancing with excitement at what SAY YES 2.0 will look like!

COVID UPDATE March 20th

END OF AN ERA?

End of an era?
Or the start of a new chapter?
Maybe just a minor bump in the road?
Maybe a massive detour?

I started this business with this little monkey in tow… and he’s been coming to YES classes with me ever since.

We’ve lunged, squatted, planked and jumped together. He’s been my boxing partner, new toy tester and official timer. We’ve fought at classes, he’s cried at classes and we’ve both laughed at classes.

We’ve both made amazing friends.

We’re both extremely sad SAY YES has to change… we both understand why… but we both think it’s a pretty shitty situation.

We took this photo today guessing it may be our last class together for a long time… we made a pact to keep spreading PEACE LOVE and MUSCLES as much as we can.

Then we went home and ate apple crumble and ice cream.

Our sincere apologies Mummas. Our childminding service is now closed. At I time when I KNOW you all need it MORE THAN EVER!!

Please lean on your village for support! We all know how important this family friendly space is for our health… and the health of our babes!

Love you all. Will reach out personally to as many of you as possible and figure out plan b, c, d and all the way to z if we need.

We’re in this together.

COVID UPDATE March 18th

THINGS ARE MOVING FAST. BUT MY FEET MOVE FASTER

Yesterday I received a few messages from our community that really pushed me into swift action:

Messages from our girls working on the ‘front line’ in hospitals who can no longer attend classes.
Messages from our girls who are wanting to workout, but have the sniffles so are choosing to stay home instead.
Messages from our girls asking to hold purchases because getting out and about regularly is proving more difficult with changes in current work situations.

I hear you!

Things seem to be moving pretty fast for many of us hey?
But y’all know how fast MY feet move…. so we’re moving fast too!

Given the current situation of social-distancing and self-isolation we are doing all that we can to ensure our community CONTINUES to SAY YES to regular exercise!!

In fact, now you can join our ONLINE COMMUNITY and SAY YES to regular exercise at home! Find out more here >> https://sayyesfitness.com.au/online-community/

You absolutely can still join us AT YES for a some group fitness fun (the movement, fresh air and social chats are definitely boosting our health at the moment)! You can read more about how we’re adapting things here >> https://sayyesfitness.com.au/

COVID UPDATE March 13th

LOVE AND GRATITUDE

Hi ladies. We have so much love and gratitude for all our SAY YES members. We want to keep looking out for one another!!

We are offering LIVE AT HOME WORKOUT VIDEOS in our PRIVATE FACEBOOK GROUP ? (www.facebook.com/groups/sayyesfitnessdaily/)

So if you are not comfortable coming in to YES, but are in need of a little movement to destress, re-energise, unwind, boost your mood, or look after your health and wellbeing…. jump online and move your booty with us!

Strength, cardio, yoga, pilates, boxing…. we’re gonna be doing it ALL… and we’ll do most of it in live time so you don’t miss out on our witty humour and entertaining banter! ?

This is also in preparation for a time when we might have to CLOSE THE DOORS temporarily…. But, hopefully we can continue to help you exercise regularly.

Because regular exercise, eating well, drinking enough water and getting enough sleep are all things we need to do to keep ourselves fit, strong and healthy!

Not because these actions will prevent us from getting sick all together… but because our immune system protects our body from infection, so when it is in tiptop shape and functioning properly, our immune system is better able to launch an attack on threats.

Wanna request a workout? Comment below!

We’re aiming to post 2 live workouts a week, plus we’ll continue providing quick little workout inspo videos  weekly too!
